Vote for Alhaji Mahama - NPP delegates urged

Abura Dunkwa (C/R), Nov. 22, GNA - A member of Alhaji Aliu Mahama's Campaign Team, Mr Francis Donkoh has called on delegates to December 22 National Congress of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to vote for the Vice-President who has served a two-term apprenticeship with distinction.

Mr Donkoh has proved that he could "wear the shoes" of his master, President John Agyekum Kufuor without any problem. He was addressing some NPP functionaries at Abura Dunkwa as part of his campaign tour of some constituencies in the Central Region.

"Alhaji Mahama has been tested and proved reliable and committed", he stated adding, that the electorate were waiting patiently to elevate him to the Presidency because he had endeared himself through hard work and dedicated services.

Mr Donkoh noted that it would be disastrous for NPP if the delegates should reject such "a marketable material" at the congress. He appealed to the delegates not to allow monetary gains to cloud their sense of judgement at the congress to vote for a person who could cause the doom of the party.

He urged them not to vote on ethnic lines since Danquah-Busia tradition did not believe in politics of ethnicity.
