Talensi PNC elects executives unopposed

Tongo (UE), Aug. 9, GNA - Talensi Central Constituency branch of the People's National Convention (PNC) at the weekend elected all its executi= ves unopposed.

They included: Mr. Albert Naabil, Chairman, Mr. Joseph Kutbil, Vice Chairman, Mr. Michael Zorga, Secretary, Mr. Abanga Asirakea Asaaya, Assistant Secretary and Mr. Samuel Sapark Bare, Treasurer. The rest are Madam Salina Azina Lamesi, Assistant Treasurer, Mr. Zing Moses, Youth Organiser and Mr. Womakaani Assibi, Assistant Orgainiser. The Constituency Chairman, Albert Naabil, thanked the delegates for th= e confidence reposed in the executives and pledged that they would work hard to justify their positions.

He called on PNC members to unity and work hard to ensure that the party that the party wins the Tongo Central parliamentary seat in 2012. Mr. Zorga, Constituency Secretary said Ghanaians were feed up with the National Democratic Congress and New Patriotic Party and were prepared to vote the PNC to power.

The PNC Aspiring Parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Dr. Michael Wambeogo-Namalteng, appealed to the electorate to vote for him as Member of Parliament for the area. He said when given the mandate, he would address problems including th= e fallen standards of education, food insecurity, poor road network and poor health facilities in the constituency. Dr Wambeogo-Namalteng said he would empower women to enable them to undertake economic activities.
