Register for new Voter's ID cards - NCCE

Dzodze (V/R), Sept. 28, GNA - Mr Godwin Agbenyo, Ketu-North District Director of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has appeale= d to voters in the area to participate in the upcoming voter registration exercise. He said registering as a voter and voting are one's civic rights and responsibilities.

Mr Agbenyo was speaking at the presentation of sewing machines and accessories to 39 people who had completed six months of training in dressmaking under the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP). He said all existing voter identity cards would be nullified once the Electoral Commission issued new cards to eligible voters so it would be appropriate for everyone to obtain a new card.

Mr Agbenyo said he was unhappy with the growing indiscipline and disrespect for authority in the society. He urged the women to prepare themselves for opportunities that would be opened to them as a result of their new training.
