Ofosu-Ampofo is indeed a blessing to Tema West

The Campaign Team of Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, who is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Candidate for Tema West, has said he is a blessing to the Constituency.

Reacting in a statement to a lead story on the front page of the Wednesday May 23-Thursday May 24 edition of “The Publisher” Newspaper titled: “Minister turns ‘Azaaa’ MP-over Streetlights,” the Team refuted an allegation in the story that Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo “has started presenting himself as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema West.”

The Team said though the Minister has always seen himself as the NDC Parliamentary Candidate for Tema West, nowhere has he described himself as the MP for the Constituency.

The Team cataloged the development programmes initiated by their Parliamentary Candidate for the constituents and said they include the provision of streetlights to communities, such as Sakumono, Adjei Kojo, and Klagon.

They said the Parliamentary Candidate has brought contractors to start work on the road linking the Estates to the Main Beach, while he has promised to improve the stretch of road lying on the Abattoir Bridge for use by motorists.

The Team advised politicians in the Constituency to stick to the issues, guard against the politics of insults and accusations and tell their story to the constituents who are also carefully weighing the issues at stake.

They urged members of the Constituency to vote for Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo in the December polls, because he was determined to ensure that Tema West got its fair share of the national cake.**
