NPP has no intention of electing a new leader

Former Member of Parliament for Asokwa, Kofi Jumah, has showered cold waters on the campaign posters of Alan Kyeremanten that surfaced not long ago at Tamale and rumour making rounds about who the NPP intends to elect as a leader to succeed Nana Akufo-Addo at their next primaries.

Posters of Alan Kyeremanten, recently popped up on the walls around the Northern Regional House of Chiefs.

Although no person or group has claimed responsibility for the posters, Kofi Jumah attributed the “diabolical” plot to NDC General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia and National Organiser, Yaw Boateng Gyan.

Though the Northern Regional Secretary of the party, Dr. Clifford Braimah, has attributed the emergence of the posters to "our faceless detractors who are bent on sowing seeds of discontent in our rank and file", Kofi Jumah stated on Okay FM that it is only people with “wicked intentions” Asiedu Nketia and Yaw Boateng Gyan who can come up with such ideas.

Kofi Jumah made it clear that the party has no plans of organizing an election to elect a flagbearer as it has been put out there.

He also discredited rumors about Mr. Kyeremanten’s desire to pick up the post and urged Ghanaians to consider the rumour as “rubbish”.
