Fear of losing the December polls

NPP Incubates Diabolic Plans

-To perpetuate Violence, Says Man of God

Mindful of the fact that the December presidential elections in Ghana could be his last possible opportunity of achieving his life-long ambition of becoming president just as his father, Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party are said to have hatched a plot with far reaching consequence for Ghana’s democracy and security.

A man of God with close affinity with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and who, for obvious reasons wants to remain anonymous speaking to The Al-Hajj in an exclusive interview last week said Nana Akufo Addo and the NPP’s ‘get-power-at-all-cost’ and ‘all-die-be-die’ mantra introduced last year, was as a result of prophetic revelations of an Atta Mills victory in this year’s polls by powerful men of God with sympathies to the largest opposition party.

According to the unnamed man of God “Nana Akufo Addo’s ‘get power by all means’ all started in 2011 when an Atta Mills’ triumph was revealed to heavy-weight men of God associated with the NPP individually and collectively during prayers sessions towards a peaceful and successful 2012 general elections…”

This he said resulted in the ‘yen akan fuor’, ‘all die be die’ outburst and the beating of war drums by the NPP flag bearer and the entire leadership of the party since they are fully informed of the possible outcome of this year’s elections.

The man of God disclosed that as part of the secret plot to subvert the outcome of the December election results, the NPP encouraged some of their supporters during the recent biometric voter registration to ensure that they register more than once in order to automatically disenfranchise them on polling day as per the electoral rules, and this will then give rise to violent protestation and mayhem.

He said as per their plan, reports of such voter disturbances on the voting day will then be widely given publicity by the pro-NPP media, both print & electronic, citing what has happened as a deliberate act by the EC and the NDC government to rather subvert the will of the people by fraudulently attempting to retain power.

These shenanigans will then appeal and attract sympathy from the international community, who will in turn demand the annulment of the election results.

According to him, it should not surprise Ghanaians that in-spite of the intensive voter education on the biometric registration by the Electoral Commission, we still had such remarkable number of double registration in the just ended biometric exercise across the country.

The man of God said though, he is a close associate of the NPP, he has decided to come out because he is troubled about what the implications and consequences of this diabolical plot could be for our dear and peaceful nation.

Narrating his fears first and foremost as a citizen, he said he will not sit with his conscience hunting him with an imminent bloodshed.

“I am indeed deeply worried about what laid ahead of our nation, a beacon of peace, and if our politicians believe in bettering the lives of our people, then there is no need to sacrifice peace for violence”, he concluded.

He is therefore appealing to all stakeholders, the security services and indeed, missions of the international community in Ghana to take note and do whatever it is humanly possible to avert this dangerous trap for Ghana.
