NDC will win massively –Abuga Pele

Mr. Abuga Pele, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspiring Member of Parliament for the Chiana –Paga Constituency in the Upper East Region has said the Party would win massively in the coming elections.

He said this when he launched his campaign at Paga at the weekend, an event attended by many party faithful, supporters and sympathizers.

“It is clearly evident that President John Mahama will return to the Castle. It is also evident that I will also recapture the Parliamentary seat I lost to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in 2008,” he said.

He said the trust and confidence reposed in the NPP Parliamentary Candidate had been betrayed as he had brought no development to the area.

He said President Mahama would not run “a discriminatory government” when the party retains its mandate saying the leadership of the Party would lay a strong foundation for the future generation by creating more development projects and generating employment for people.

He appealed to members of the party and supporters to embark on a vigorous house to house campaign to get more people to vote for the party to return to power to continue with its good works.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Mr. Thomas Adda Dalu, said there was no way the party would lose power to the opposition party saying the unprecedented development projects the party had brought to the people within its three and half years rule, would make Ghanaians vote for it.

He said the Kassena Nankana District had recorded more than 45 development projects including schools, road constructions, health facilities and provision of boreholes in addition to the provision of free school uniforms and exercise books.

The Upper East Deputy Regional Minister, Mrs Lucy Awuni, who launched the campaign, said despite the fact that Mr. Pele lost the seat to the New Patriotic Party he still brought a lot of development to the constituency by supporting and paying school fees for the deprived and helping many of youth to gain employment.

The President of Pele’s Fun Club, Awewomon Sebastian , said there were over 6000 youth in the club and they had already began doing house to house campaigns the candidate.

Friends of Abuga Pele of Sirigu said they were leaving no stone unturned to ensure that he wins the seat, whiles the Constituency Chairman for the area, Mr Kojo Kupanamo, said the party structure had resolved all the differences within the party that led to it losing the Parliamentary seat to the NPP and was now poised for victory.
