La Dade-Kotopon NDC inaugurates grass-roots team

The La Dade-Kotopon Constituency branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has inaugurated a reorganisation team that will mobilise party members to work diligently and ensure that the party retains power in 2016 and beyond.

The team, comprising grass-roots members in the branches, are to strategise, reach out to party faithful and disseminate information to enable members to be abreast of latest happenings in the party and the country.

The ceremony took place in Accra on the theme: “Effective Grass-roots Mobilisation towards Election 2016 and Beyond.”

Inaugurating the team, Mr Isaac Djangmah Vanderpuye, the Deputy Greater Accra Regional Minister, said the gesture was critical because grass-roots mobilisation was cricial to the development of any organisation.

He said the inauguration was necessitated by the inability of the branches to meet and added that it was also prudent for the party to reorganise its members into a more proactive team.

“This will not come easy; we need to marshal our forces together with absolute focus on the party’s vision and continue to deliver on the promise made to Ghanaians, since we are accountable to them,” he added.

Mr Vanderpuye implored party members to not be complacent due to the current wranglings in the New Patriotic Party but to focus on and plan effectively for the upcoming elections.

He also said the welfare of every party member in the constituency was important and charged the team to have regular interactions with members to ensure unity.

He commended members for making themselves available for the task ahead and assured them of the party executives’ support to enable them to realise their vision of retaining the parliamentary seats in the constituency
