Kojo Asemanyi to contest Gomoa East seat

Cape Coast, March 23, GNA - A 31-year-old Sales and Marketing Executive, Mr. Kojo Asemanyi, has filed his nomination to contest the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) Gomoa East Constituency primary. He is among five others who have filed to contest the primary. Mr Asemanyi said he would collaborate with the chiefs and people of the area to ensure the developmental of the constituency. He said the constituency needed a competent and experienced Member of Parliament who could rally all the constituents together to explore means to develop the area.

"I have the qualities that will be harnessed to change the fortunes of the constituency for the better" he said, adding that the youth would be his main focus and will ensure that they are developed to the fullest.

According to him the major challenge of the constituency was education and gave the assurance that he would team up with the chiefs to set up an educational fund to support not only brilliant but needy students but also those who would aspire to attain higher education. Mr. Asemanyi identified disunity among members of the party contributed to the party's defeat in the 2008 general election and appealed to all members and sympathizers to bury their differences and unite to strategize well to win back all the seats the NPP lost in the region. 22 March 11
