I will win more floating voters for NPP - Appiagyei

Kumasi, April 6, GNA - Madam Patricia Appiagyei, former Kumasi Metropolitan Chief Executive, who is contesting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Asokwa Constituency Parliamentary seat, has pledged to work hard to win more floating voters for the party.

She would also ensure a united front and do everything to strengthen the party's structures as they prepared for the battle to recapture political power in 2012.

Madam Appiagyei said although there was no question about the fact that Asokwa was a safe seat for the NPP, it was important to put in more efforts to significantly reduce the votes for the party's political opponents.

Speaking at her campaign launch, the former Mayor said she was determined to make a big difference, drawing on her vast working experience as a banker, development planner and administrator. She said she was confident that the delegates would vote for her and together they would work to bring back the NPP to power. Madam Appiagyei said she would work with all the people in the constituency to tackle the socio-economic challenges in the area and make life better for everybody.

Issues bothering on women's empowerment, child's protection and growth and youth employment, would receive prominent attention, she said to the applause of the ecstatic crowd of party loyalists. She advised against complacency and asked that members and supporters moved from house-to-house to explain to voters why they should vote for the NPP.
