Ghanaians urged to vote CPP as Nkrumah's Golden Jubilee gift

Kpetoe (V/R), Sept. 6, GNA - Mr Vincent Noagbedzi, Volta Regional Organizer for the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) on Wednesday stated that the best Golden Jubilee gift the country could offer to Dr Kwame Nkrumah was to vote the CPP into power in 2008.

He said it was time Ghanaians considered the good works and the toils the country's first President went through in the fight for independence and vote his party into power in the 2008 elections. Mr Noagbedzi said this when he swore into office a 15-member executive at Kpetoe to run the affairs of the Adaklu-Anyigbe Constituency of the CPP.

Mr Noagbedzi maintained that the CPP remained the best alternative to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and that it was the only party that was truly concerned about the welfare of the ordinary Ghanaian.

He urged the executives to reach out to the communities and sell the party to all, especially the youth and urged them to cooperate with all aspiring presidential and parliamentary candidates of the party for victory in 2008.

The 15-member executive is under the chairmanship of Mr Mokli Gabriel Azato, a teacher, with Mr Ansah Prince and Mr Hope Semevor, as First and Second vice chairmen respectively.

Mr Raymond Akatey was voted as Secretary to be assisted by Mr Tretsu Aikins with Mr Tsigbey Annas as Treasurer. The post of organizers went to Mr Frank Darkey and Mr Azameti Alex as constituency organizer and assistant respectively.

Others were; Madam Georgina Amegboe, Women organizer and Madam Peace Azameti, Assistant Women Organizer, Mr George Amegboe, Youth Organizer, to be assisted by Mr Happy Akad.

The rest were Mr Raymond Anku, Education Secretary, Madam Genevieve Donkor and Mr Klu Dzobo, ex-officio members.
