Free education up to SHS is feasible - Parliamentary candidate

Mr. James Amoah, New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Abokobi-Madina, has reiterated the party’s resolve to introduce free education up to Senior High School, saying “it is feasible.”

He said this would bring education to the door-steps of Ghanaians to move the nation forward.

Mr. Amoah said this at a meeting with members of his campaign team at the constituency office in Madina

He promised to tackle the poor road network in the area and provide street lights as well as boosting infrastructure to facilitate the movement of the residents at night, if given the mandate.

Mr. Amoah said Madina had been neglected for a long time and that he would lobby the municipal council to grant loans to women and others in need, to enable them to expand their businesses

This he said would cushion parents to educate their children.

Mr. Amoah urged the people to vote massively for the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and himself to enable them to rescue the people from their hardship, adding that, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government had done nothing since coming into power three years ago.

He blamed President Evans Atta Mills’ government for the slow pace of development in the area and said three to four years into his administration there has been no change in the lives of the people.

Mr. Amoah said he would target youth development and will lobby government to establish more vocational institutions to cater for school dropouts and also create job opportunities for them.**
