CPP Presidential aspirants urged to work as a team

Tamale, Nov 2, GNA- The Presidential aspirants of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) have been advised to cooperate and work as team to ensure victory for the party in the 2008 general elections. They have also been asked to put the interest of the party above their presidential ambitions during and after the party's National Delegates Congress to elect its flag bearer.

This was contained in a press release issued by the Nkrumah Action Front, (NAF) a youth wing of the CPP in Tamale to the GNA on Tuesday and signed by Mr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, a leading member. The release said the party's target of "occupying the castle" would be a mirage if the aspirants as well as their supporters were not careful of their utterances, which could divide the party. The statement said the Party did not need a soothsayer or a juju man to tell them that victory was theirs in next year's election if only they remained united.

Our campaign theme for 2008 should be "United we stand, divided we fall" and victory shall "rain on the CPP like the days of Noah".
