"President Kufuor... promised to offer positive change in the governance of this country and this is exactly what the Government had done."

Mr Hammond, who is seeking re-election as Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi-Asokwa, was addressing a mini rally at Tasliman as part of his campaign tour of the Constituency.

He said the commitment of the NPP towards good governance had attracted international attention.

The MP advised his constituents to have faith in the Government, adding: "our next four years will bring much improvement in your lives". Mr Hammond said the next Government of the NPP would focus on quality education, private sector development and the enhancement of the economy as enshrined in the Party's manifesto.

He advised the people to desist from all acts that could undermine the success of Election 2004.

Mr Hammond said the NPP was committed to ensure free, fair and transparent elections by not using state apparatus to influence the outcome of the December 7 polls.

The Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Mr Kwabena Ameyaw, advised the Party's polling agents to be vigilant during the day of voting to avoid any electoral fraud.
