The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary aspirant for the Ada Constituency, Honourable Comfort Doeyo Cudjo Ghansah as part of her social responsibility towards the people of the Ada Constituency has promised to present large quantities of sports kits to all the football teams in the Ada constituency as part of her support and pledge to promoting sports activities in the area.

In addition, Madam Ghansah will also present large quantities of tractors to the farmers in Ada to help the farmers in the district to plough their farms this rainy season at very affordable and subsidised rates. To show her commitment and care for the old age in the district, she has also already provided free National Health Insurance Cover for over two thousand (2000) old men and women in the Ada constituency.

In an exclusive interview with this reporter, she disclosed that as part of her efforts of promoting sports activities in the district she will present thirty (30) set of jerseys and sixty (60) balls to all the football clubs in the Dangme East District to promote and boost the morale of young sports men and teams in the district. Hon. Doeyo Ghansah added that sports is among her top priority especially to help unearth talents in the district for development into future national stars for our various national sports teams.

She said Ada produced great athletes and footballers in the past but due to a lack of sponsorship and support, those great talents have gone untapped and wasted. “Ada have produced great talents and athletes during our time but all those fine talents have gone waste and untapped. It’s all due to lack of support in those days,” Hon. Ghansah lamented.

She added, full of hope: “I think now is the time to invest, encourage and support this brilliant young talents in the district to go into sports especially football since it has now become a more lucrative job. I will do all within my limit to help them attain their future aspirations”.

Her desire for sports activities, she disclosed, is the motivation behind her decision to undertake such initiative and hope the jerseys and the balls, which will not be the last, can encourage, motivate and bring out the best in them and urged all to take sports very serious.

Hon. Comfort Doeyo Ghansah added that she has also outsourced for large quantities of farming tractors to be distributed to all the farming communities in Ada to help and aid farmers to plough their farms especially throughout this year’s farming season at a very affordable and subsidised rate. She revealed that she observed during her rounds within the area that the major problem facing farmers in the district during every farming season is the problem of few tractors to help farmers plough vast acres of land to increase their farm yields.

“This has necessitated my move to quickly outsource for large quantities of farming tractors to be distributed to all the farming communities in Ada to help increase their farm yields in this year’s farming season,” she aid.

About the free health care to the aged in the district, she revealed that her office has seen the need to help the oldies in the Ada constituency due to the problems of accessing health care especially those without family welfare. Hon. Ghansah also explained that the free health care through the free National Health Insurance registration also covers majority of widows in the district. Currently according to her, her outfit has registered over two thousand aged men and women who cannot afford the NIHS registration for free in the district and she is still continuing to register more to access the free health care.

Although she admits that we are in an election year, she has called on all not to play politics with her initiatives but must rather support her to better the lives of all in the district. She was also quick to add that as a woman she has all at heart and will be ready to serve everybody in the district when elected as Member of Parliament for the Ada constituency and promised to bring more developmental projects to the district. She has therefore call on all the electorates in Ada to vote for her massively to continue with the good work of the NDC government.

Finally she has called on all Ghanaians to vote for His Excellency Prof. John Evans Atta Mills to help develop and grow the Ghanaian economy for a Better Ghana.
