2008 is the finest time for CPP-Norgbedzi

Kpando, Oct. 17, GNA- Mr Vincent Norgbedzi, Volta Regional Organizer of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) has observed that the 2008 general elections would be the finest time for the CPP to regain political power.

He said the quality of people offering themselves for leadership position at all levels of the Party was making the Party more attractive and a strong contender in the next elections. Mr Norgbedzi said this when he addressed newly elected executives at the North Dayi and Hohoe North Constituencies at separate constituency conferences.

He stated that any of the six presidential candidates of the CPP was capable of marching Professor Attah Mills of the NDC and any of the 19 candidates of the NPP "boot for boot" and called on the executives to work hard for the Party's victory in 2008.

Mr Bright Akwetey, a legal practitioner and a Presidential Candidate of the CPP asked women and youths to get involved in the re-organization of the Party because it remained the only Party, which could ensure national security and social welfare of the people. Mr Thomas Ntumy, an Educationist was elected unopposed as the North Dayi Constituency Chairman of the Party with Mr Emmanuel Ofori as Organizer, Madam Francisca Koto, Women Organizer and Mr Kwasi Kumah Comfort as Treasurer among others.

Mr Linus Fianyo, another Educationist and 2004 Parliamentary Candidate for Hohoe North was elected Chairman of the Hohoe North Constituency.

Mr Godwin Sadzi, also an Educationist was elected Secretary, Mr David Bacha, Organizer, Madam Magaret Adanuvor, Women Organizer and Mr George Seddoh, Treasure.
