Company donates to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital

Western Pharmacy, a pharmaceutical company, has donated items and money totaling about GH¢30,000.00 in support of the annual staff awards of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH).

These included three flat screen television sets, three laptop computers and a cheque of GH¢7,000, to cater for the air ticket of the overall best worker, who would be sent abroad to undergo a refresher training course.

The ceremony would be held on September 22, and Mr Emmanuel Buabeng Berko, Managing Director of the Company, said the gesture was part of its corporate social responsibility.

It is meant to make a powerful statement on its vision of showing care and concern for people in communities where it was operating.

Mr Isaiah Offe Gyimah, acting Chief Executive of the hospital, was on hand to receive the gifts and said they were grateful for the gesture.

He used the occasion to invite other private organizations to support their efforts at motivating the workers to give off their best through the annual awards for hard work, loyalty and dedicated services.

In all, 143 employees of the facility would be honoured at this year’s event.
