Paramedics at C/R hospital resume work

Cape Coast, April 29, GNA- Nurses and other paramedical staff at the Central Regional Hospital, in Cape Coast have called off the strike action they embarked on last Monday, in protest against disparities in salaries.

A source at the hospital, who made this known to the GNA on Friday, said the resumption of work, followed a directive asking them to do so. At the time of the GNA's visit, the source, said nurses at the Out Patients Department (OPD), were however, yet to resume work.

At the Cape Coast district hospital, Mr Emmanuel Gyamfi, the Administrator said all the nurses and the other paramedical staff resumed work on Thursday, and the medical assistant in- charge of the Ewim Urban health centre, Alhaji Ibrahim Yahaya, also told the GNA that the staff there had resumed duty.
