Koforidua Regional hospital records seven deliveries on Christmas Day

Koforidua, Dec. 26, GNA - The Koforidua Regional Hospital on Christma= s Day recorded seven births, four through caesarian and three through normal delivery. The deliveries came before 1330 hours on Christmas Day. Two of the deliveries were twins, one being girls and the other a boy and a girl. Unfortunately the one of the girls died. According to Ms Ernestina Tawiah, Senior Nurse in-Charge at the Hospital, the remaining five males and three females are doing well. Meanwhile from Nkawkaw, the Ghana News Agency reported that, four deliveries were recorded at the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital including twins.

He said the hospital recorded three girls and two boys. A senior Nursing Officer in-charge of the maternity ward of the hospital, Mrs Mary Ansong Peperah advised pregnant women to attend anti-natal clinics regularly and report any developments for medical attention to avoid complications that could resort in deaths. However one male delivery was recorded at the Kwahu Government Hospital, Atibie.
