CAC supports hole-in-heart patient

The Brong Ahafo Territory of Christ Apostolic Church International (CAC-INT), in fulfilment of its social responsibility objectives has donated GHC 4,000.00 towards the open-heart surgery of 5-year-old girl, Emmanuela Gyamfua.

Emmanuela Gyamfua, who stays at Chiraa in the Sunyani West District, was diagnosed with a hole in heart at the National Cardiothoracic Centre, Korlebu Teaching Hospital by doctors some months ago.

Presenting a cheque of GHC 4,000 the Brong Ahafo territorial Apostle of the church , Apostle J .K Commey, said the church heard about the predicaments of the little Girlnto extend that one Christopher Yaw Asamoah then a member of Chiraa branch of the church absconded Emmanuela Gyamfua's GHc4,000 meant for her treatment.

He said the church was saddened by the development, however, the leadership decided to pay the said amount to parents of the child to enable them seek medical attention for the child.

Apostle Commey reiterated that the church is interested in the survival, protection and improvement of children.

He added that it is the responsibility of the church to support the underprivileged and expressed the hope that Gyamfua would successfully go through the surgery and lead a normal life afterwards.

He said some of the church objective is to provide an enabling environment for the well-being and growth of the children to enable them achieve their full potential in life.

Receiving the cheque the father of Emmanuela Gyamfua, Mr. Abrefa Kwabena Freeman, thanked the church for the kind gesture.

He promised that the donation will be used for the intended purpose.

Abrefa Kwabena Freeman said Christopher Yaw Asamoah, who operate information centre at Chiraa near Sunyani was asked by the family of Gyamfua to receive money on behalf of a 5-year-old girl suffering from a hole in heart.

He said after some months, they approached Christopher Asamoah to render accounts of donations received but Asamoah later fled the town to unknown destination. Report was made at Chiraa Police Station.

Among the members who assisted Apostle Commey to present the cheque were Apostle Gyekye Sunyani Area head of CAC and Territorial Secretary, Decoan Pascal Akoto Danso, territorial Deacon and Decoan David Boachie Danquah, Territorial Finance Secretary.
