Anyinam Health Centre in a deplorable state

Health workers of Anyinam health centre have appealed to the government, corporate bodies and non-governmental organisations to come to their aid since they are faced with numerous challenges as far as their operations are concerned.

The pharmacist, Christiana Akuffo Birikorang spoke to the press at a visit by some leaders of AMAMA (an association fighting for development of Anyinam, Moseaso, Asamang Tamfoe, Mampong and Ankaase).

According to her, the facility relies on rain water due to the breakdown of all taps at the hospital.

"We don't have air condition nor fridge to store our medicines. We also lack enough beds for patience," she added.

Madam Birikorang said the facility now benefit lots of people in the area and appealed for more infrastructures to ease the pressure patients go through at the health centre.

Chairman of AMAMA, Nana Agyei Bawuah was worried of the situation at the clinic and however appealed to government, NGOs, the Member of Parliament and corperate bodies to as matter of urgency come to the aid of the health centre.

He said the association has been set up to help in the development of the five communities.

"AMAMA is here to help develop the five communities in terms of education, health, sanitation as well as security" he added.

Meanwhile the only senior high school serving the five communities is also in poor condition at the verge of collapse.
