Another award for The Trust Hospital

The Trust Hospital in Accra has received an award for its high performance, quality healthcare and its immense contributions to the national health delivery. The hospital was among 21 organizations and individuals who were recognized by The New Ghanaian (TNG), a sister publication of the West Africa International magazine, for excelling in their various fields.

The New Ghanaian, a leading general interest, news and features magazine in Ghana, has the strategic thrust of ensuring that Ghana and the Ghanaian are given a pride of place in Ghana. The publication which hit the news stand seven years ago, has a wide circulation within and outside Ghana, with a number of blue chip companies, corporate institutions and individuals as its subscribers.

An official statement issued and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) said, the Trust Hospital received a distinguished award in the health category for the delivery of best customer services to its numerous clients. It received a plaque, a certificate and a monumental customized polo shirt.

A citation accompanied the award described it as a health institution serving the people of Ghana with the outmost care, quality and integrity. The statement said the growth of The Trust Hospital Company Limited has been tremendous and unparalleled, stating that “within a short period of six year, the TTHCL has opened six clinics at Adenta, Tema, Dome, Sakumono, Dansoman and at the SSNIT Pension House in Accra. It also has three hospitals.

The CEO of The New Ghanaian, Dr. Dee Otibu-Asare, said private health institutions should emulate The Trust Hospital, by placing their priority on the health needs and aspirations of the citizenry to help augment government efforts in providing good health care for the people.

He pointed out that government alone cannot solve all health problems, and asked professionals to stop complaining and rather project enthusiasm and be aggressively focused.

The Chief Executive of Asuogyaman, Mr. Thomas Ampim Nyarko, who deputized for the Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, commended the organizers of the award scheme, noting that the two key areas of the awards which are health and education depict the primary necessity of the people, and called on other institutions to emulate.

This is the second time in six months that The Trust Hospital has picked an award for the recognition of its provision of quality healthcare for the people. The Hospital has attracted the international recognition and in December 2013, it received two distinguished Quality Service Awards from the European Business Assembly in Oxford, UK.

The scheme is designed to celebrate exceptional results across a variety of categories; the EBAs are a global showcase for the best in the business.

In furtherance of its strategic objective of providing a platform for recognition, promotion and celebration of corporate entities and individuals of sublime achievements, the magazine for the past seven years instituted an Annual Awards Scheme to recognize Ghanaians and Ghanaian companies that have contributed immensely to the economic development of Ghana.
