39 births babies in the C/R in Easter

Kasoa (C/R), April 4 GNA-A total of thirty-nine children were born in three health institutions in the Central Region during the Easter festivity. The babies, made up of 32 males and 16 females were delivered at the Kasoa Health Centre, Awutu Beraku Health Centre and Our Lady of Grace Hospital at Breman Asikuma.

Madam Elizabeth Taylor, Midwifery Officer at the maternity ward of the Kasoa Health Centre said 9 males and 6 females were born on Good Friday while 6 males and 4 females were delivered on Easter Saturday. She said 3 females were also born on Easter Sunday adding, the children and their mothers are in good condition of health and have since been discharged.

Madam Mary Edu, midwife Superintendent and Sister Alice Fati, Staff Midwife at the Our Lady of Grace Hospital said 4 males and a female were born on Good Friday while 2 males were delivered on Easter Saturday. They said 2 males and one girl were born on Easter Sunday. At Awutu Beraku Health Centre, Madam Beatrice Awuni, Senior Staff Midwife said only a girl was born on Good Friday; there was no delivery on Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday.
