SIC urged to pay claims of accident victim

Mankessim (C/R), May 25, GNA - The family of the late Mrs Serah Arthur Sam, who died in a motor accident at Apam Junction on 11th October 2004 have appealed to the State Insurance Company (SIC) to pay her insurance claims without delay.

Making the appeal through the Ghana News Agency at Mankessim, Miss Mary Adu-Boateng, a family spokesperson, said the delay was causing a lot of hardship for the two children she left behind. She expressed surprise as to why it had taken the SIC a long time to process her claims for payment.

The family spokesperson attributed the delay of the SIC to pay the claim to what she called, "The refusal of the family to accept the token offer" by the SIC.

"We need money for the education of the two children she left behind", she stated and appealed to the Board and Management of SIC to pay the claim without delay. 25 May 07
