Rexy Lovell Mensah finally granted GHc 100,000 bail

The beleaguered dismissed official
of IDEAS University College, who had been in the custody of CID since Friday, October
21, 2011, was on Tuesday evening granted GHc 100,000 bail.
The bail bond also included two houses located in either Tema or Accra.

Mensah was arrested for several criminal offenses including altering
documentations of ownership of IDEAS University College, falsely claiming
ownership of the university, forging the signature of the Proprietress of the
university, refusing to account for school fees running into billions of cedis,
running unaccredited educational institute, deceiving students that he had
accreditation to run the university among others. Rexy Lovell Mensah is to
report to the CID headquarters every day till the matter is disposed off.
The other accomplice,
Madam Victoria Amoah, Principal of the Tepa Health Assistant Training School,
is to report to the CID Head Office on Friday in her own interest.
Other
characters who would sooner than later be called for questioning are, Appiah
Kubi and Frank Larbi, both parading themselves as Registrar and Dean of Students
respectively if “ideas university college-south campus”. Frank Larbi and the former
Information System Manager of the university, Michael Yeboah,are next on the radar
of the police.
