Sekondi, Sept 21, GNA - The Takoradi police have arrested two suspected cocaine dealers, Ibrahim Ahmed, 29, and Tony Hill Walker, 28, who hail from Agona Swedru and Adjumako Okyeso in the Central Region respectively.

The two suspects have been remanded into police custody in Takoradi while police investigations are underway.

Speaking to the Ghana News Agency in an interview the Acting Regional Police Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector William Asare, said on September 19 the Takoradi District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police Dela Dzanzi, had a call from someone who claimed that someone was dealing in narcotic drugs at Okatakyia Hotel in Takoradi.

He said the District Commander organised his men and went to the hotel and a man who gave his name as Ibrahim Ahmed and he was holding a bag.

When the police team searched the man's bag, they found four wrapped whitish substances in his bag and Ahmed claimed the substances were given to him by one Tony Hill Walker in the Central Region for some people in the Western Region.

The police team led Ahmed to Tony Hill Walkers' residence at the Windy Ridge at Takoradi where he was also arrested. Mr. Asare said the whitish substance would be sent for testing.
