Police Begins Investigations Into Mzbel's Molestation

The Kumasi police are gathering information as part of investigations into the molestation of popular Hip-life artiste, Mzbel by some KNUST students. This was after the musician accompanied by her producer, Mr Daniel Adjei of Hush Hush studios in Accra, lodged a formal complaint with the Tech. Police Station. The Station Officer for the Tech.

Police station, Chief Inspector Doris Amewu confirmed that a complaint was lodged by Mzbel on Monday, October 24th, in the afternoon and the police will begin investigations into the incident soon. Mzbel and her producer were at the Tech police station again yesterday and were directed together with one Corporal Tetteh, now in charge of the case to the Zongo Divisional Police Headquarters to go through other investigative procedures. The Musician has been asked to furnish the police with a medical report from the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital. A police source told Kapital news that the division has also requested for a copy of the! video recording on the dastardly act which is believed to be containing images of some of the culprits. Mr Agyei confirmed the video recording captured vividly about five of the students included in the diabolic act. He said Mzbel's Managers have so far been unwilling to release the recording to the numerous agencies including officials of KNUST who were calling for it for fear that they could be tampered with to destroy the evidence.

The musician and her producer are expected to visit the KNUST campus with the police before leaving for Accra.In an interview with the Dean of students of KNUST, Professor Emmanuel Frimpong, he said the committee investigating the incident are progressing with their investigations but emphasised that they will need the video recording to climax the probe into the case to be able to issue the necessary sanctions.
