A disagreement between two brothers over a single room rent has resulted in the death of 27-year old Kweku Sahene a Libyan returnee at Brigade, a suburb in Kintampo in the Kintampo North district of the Brong Ahafo Region.

Younger brother of the deceased Kojo Sahene 25 was reported to have stabbed his elder brother with a kitchen knife in the ensuing confusion leading to his untimely death.

According to neighbours, the deceased prior to his trip to Libya in search of greener pastures, left the room in the custody of his younger brother who in turn rented out his own room and moved into that of his brother without prior notice.

The deceased who returned to Ghana a fortnight ago, questioned his brother on why he took such a decision without his approval but this degenerated into heated argument resulting in both engaging in fisticuffs.

Kojo Sahene was reported to have sneaked into the room, picked a knife and stabbed his elder brother at his blind side leaving him to bleed profusely and was rushed to the Kintampo Government Hospital only to be pronounced dead on arrival.

The youth in the area on hearing the incident nearly lynched the suspect but for the timely intervention of the Kintampo police who stormed the scene and arrested him.

He is currently in police custody assisting the police in their investigations.
