Man, 21, jailed five years for stabbing friend

Tarkwa (W/R), Oct. 26, GNA- John Kennedy, 21, a galamsey operator was jailed five years by a circuit court at Tarwa for stabbing a colleague, Abdul Razak three times in the stomach. Kennedy pleaded guilty.

Police Inspector Alex Asamoah told the court that the accused and Razak, who is also a galamsey operator, went to a riverside to bath at Nakaba, a suburb of Prestea.

Inspector Asamoah said both of them started teasing themselves about the dress they were wearing and Razak said what Kennedy was wearing was women's dress.

He said this resulted in a quarrel and in the process Kennedy with an object stabbed Razak three times in the stomach with the intestines gushing out.

Inspector Asamoah said Razak was rushed to Prestea hospital where he was treated.
