Eighteen-year old sexually assaults two girls

Cape Coast, Aug. 4, GNA- A Cape Coast Circuit Court presided by Mr Asiedu Badu, on Friday remanded Ali Baba, an 18-year-old unemployed, into prison custody for two weeks, for allegedly inserting his fingers into the genitals of two girls aged six and 11 years. The accused pleaded not guilty and the court remanded him to re-appear on Friday, August 17.

Chief Inspector Augustine Amonoo, told the court that both victims and the accused lived at Bronyibima, near Elmina and that on June 3, this year, the mother of the six-year-old, detected some whitish substance from her genitals while she was bathing her.

She became alarmed and queried the girl, who told her that Baba had inserted his fingers in her vagina several times the previous day. The prosecutor alleged that it later came to light that the accused had done the same thing to the 11 year old, and both mothers reported him to the Domestic Violence Victims Support Unit (DOVVSU).
