Driver jailed for committing traffic offences.

Tema, Sept. 07, GNA - The Tema Circuit Court 'B', has sentenced a taxi driver to 20 days imprisonment for packing an authorised place. Charles Oppong was convicted on his plea for causing three counts of traffic offences.

Police Inspector Ben Agbedanu, told the Court presided over by Mr Stephen Teye, that on August 25, 2004, personnel of the Police Motor Traffic and Transport Unit, arrested the accused person for parking his taxi- cab at an unauthorised place and picking passengers. He said the action of the accused caused traffic jam.
