CHRAJ settles 86 cases in Kwahu West Municipality

Nkawkaw, Jan, 7, GNA - The Kwahu West Municipal office of the Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ), settled 86 out of 92 human rights related cases reported to it last year. Forty-two of the cases were child and spousal maintenance related such as child labour and deprivation. Mr Kwabena Osei, the Municipal Director of CHRAJ, disclosed this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Nkawkaw on Wednesday. He advised men to accept responsibility of pregnancies and contribute to the maintenance and education of their children to help reduce the number of street children in the country. Mr Osei said children were the nation's asset and that they should be educated to become responsible adults to lead the nation and contribute to the development of their families. 07 Jan. 08
