Boy threatens woman with gun for sex

Sekondi, Nov.18, GNA - A hunter was on Thursday fined GH¢300.00 or= in default serve 12 months in jail in hard labour for allowing his underage son to handle his gun.

He also pleaded guilty for possessing an unlicensed firearm. The court directed that the police should ensure that the unlicensed=

gun be licensed before it is released to him. Police Sergeant Godwin Bawa told the court presided over by Mr Kwame=

Polley that on August 20 the convict was going to farm with his 15-year-o= ld step son and gave his single barrel gun to him to take along.

The prosecutor said the 15-year-old boy along the way and in the absence of his father pulled out the gun on a 48-year-old woman, Madam Elizabeth Cudjoe, in his farm and ordered her to undress for him to have sex with her. Sergeant Bawah said while the victim undressed, she shouted for help= , forcing the boy to flee the scene leaving his pair of trousers behind whe= n he saw people approaching.

He said the victim reported the matter to the Police and the boy and=

his father were arrested. Sgt Bawa said since the boy is a minor, the prosecution had petition= ed the Chief State Attorney for advice. Nov.18,2010
