Accused bonded for threatening the sister

Kade, July 13, GNA - The Kade District Magistrate Court has bonded Seth Wutor, who often insulted and threatened to beat and harm her sister, Regina, to be of good behaviour for 12 months. In default Wutor, who pleaded guilty with explanation, will go to prison for six moths in hard labour. Prosecuting, police Inspector D.T Nartey said the accused travelled outside the country for 15 years and returned three years ago but took to drinking and wee smoking.

He said the accused blamed his sister for his failure in life and she had known no peace in the house where the two lived. The accused on a number of occasions hurled insults and threatened to beat the sister but was prevented from doing so by their siblings. On June 22 the accused, without provocation, rushed on the sister to beat her but she sought refuge in a neighbour's room. The accused tried to force his way into the room but was prevented. The accused threatened to beat and harm his sister whenever she returned home and so his conduct was reported to the police and he was arrested.
