Juaso-Ashanti, March 12, GNA - A Juaso Circuit court has sentenced Kwasi John 18, a mason to 20 years imprisonment in hard labour for defilement.

Kwasi pleaded guilty to two counts of causing unlawful harm and defilement.

Assistant Superintendent of police (ASP) Godfred Anim told the court presided over by Mr Justice Jacob B. ASP Anim said on February 23, this year, around 2.30 pm, complainant returned from farm and met the victim playing with other children at the forecourt of his house and saw the accused around the vicinity.

He said three hours later, one Yaa Doris brought the victim home bleeding from the neck with blood stained eyes after she found the victim near her house.

The prosecution said the complainant suspected the accused but he denied when confronted.
