Jumah Defends JAK

Former chief executive officer of the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly, Maxwell Jumah, has described as a joke, reports that the president and his entourage are lodging in expensive hotels as an abuse of the nation?s resources.
He launched an attack on Raymond Archer, questioning the calibre of journalism being practiced in the country.
Speaking to a local radio station -CITI FM- he said that the money used by the president is an investment the Ghanaian tax payer is making.
According to him, in the world of international relations, it is relatively cheaper for the president and his entourage to lodge in the Willard Continental Hotel, the most expensive hotel in Washington. He said the president and his entourage lodging in a prestigious hotel like Willard affords them the opportunity to, as he put it, bump into important dignitaries, thus getting the opportunity to lobby, free of charge.
