'Wheels of Fire' intensifies training ahead of UCI World Para-Cycling championship in Canada

This year promises to be a busy year for most federations and the Para division is certainly not exempted from the busy schedules ahead of them.

The National Para-Cycling Team - the Wheels of Fire have begun serious preparations ahead of their upcoming UCI World Para-Cycling Track championship slated for Canada this month.

The Team would brace up for their qualifiers ahead of Tokyo 2020 and are duly bent on making the Nation proud with its stock of experienced athletes.

In Tandem Cycling, Ghana's sole representative to Tokyo 2020, Frederick Assor has already hit upon the roads with the intention of securing his number five spot in the world.

Ghana's female division tandem medal team which comprises of blind cycling sensation, Beauty Fiator and Pilot Clementina Ayoung are in a form of their lives to represent the Nation in the championships.

Team Ghana includes Frederick Assor, World number five best Tandem cyclist with Rudolf Mensah as Pilot, Northern Region Blind sensation Peter Dery with Emmanuel Sackey as Pilot.

The female category which happens to be a must medal hopeful includes Volta region's Beauty Fiator assisted by Clementina Ayoung as her pilot.

Baba Wasila, - All Africa Games sensation in the C2 category will also be represented.

Beauty Fiator's absence in the Gold coast Commonwealth Games was unfortunate as she is a medal hopeful. She promises to wrap up the aspersions in Tokyo after these qualifiers.
