Cashew farmers want the PSI to cover cashew

Nkoranza (B/A), Jan. 7, GNA- Cashew farmers in Nkoranza District in Brong Ahafo have called on government to include the crop on the President's Special Initiative on food and cash crops. Mr Yaw Kudom, Chairman of the Nkoranza District Association of Cashew Farmers made the appeal at a press conference at Nkoranza. Mr Kudom said a number of farmers in the area had embraced the cultivation of the crop and established plantations. "The main challenge that faces farmers is lack of credit facility", he said.
