Bashir Hayford is the right man for Kotoko job - Bekoe

Former Asante Kotoko goal poacher Eric Bekoe has described 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League winner Bashir Hayford as a perfect man for the Porcupine Warriors coaching job.

Bashir Hayford guided the miners to win their first Premier League title in 19 years and Bekoe who played under him says the veteran trainer has what it takes to revive the the sinking Asante Kotoko team considering the the ”good job” he did have the Kumasi based side years ago.

”Bashir Hayford is the right man for the Kotoko job” Bekoe disclosed speaking on Abusua Sports Arena on Abusua 96.5 FM hosted by Kofi Larbi [Governor].

Bekoe 30, is currently a free agent having exhausted a –six month deal with Egyptian second-tier side Kafr Elsheikh SC

He added ”Coach Bash really loved Kotoko those days when he was coaching the club and the spirit of the team lifted him up. I am not campaigning for him to be handed the Kotoko job but I can tell you he’s the right man for the job”.

According to the 2008 Ghana Premier Goal King, the decent relationship between Bashir Hayford and then playing body was something that triggered his success with the Fabulous family.

”Bash was a good coach during our playing days and that is why he excelled at the club. Those days the conversation he would have with you before a game alone was enough to help you perform on the pitch”.

The former Ashanti Gold SC trainer won the Ghana Premier League crown with Kotoko in the 2007-8 season.
