This week’s edition of Newsfile focused on the minority’s refusal to approve Otiko Afisa Djaba as Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection. Their refusal to support Ms. Djaba’s approval stems from her disclosure during vetting that she did not undertake her national service because she had travelled out of the country. Also her refusal to apologise to Mahama was looked at.

Other issues that also dominated are the five member committee setup by parliament to investigate the bribery allegations against members of the Appointment Committtee. This follows as three MPs petitioned parliament to investigate the case.

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s accusation against the NDC government saying they spent $13.9m on the official residence of Vice Presidents and GH7bn expenditure which is unaccounted for was looked at.

Also, AK-47 wielding soldiers ransacking Kofi Adams’ house seizing his cars and former President Mahama condemning the seizure of Kofi Adams' cars was discussed.
