All Share Index rise

Accra, Dec. 23, GNA - The benchmark GSE-All Share Index rose 5.22 points on Wednesday to close at 3,465.86 points up from 3,440.64 points in an active market that saw many shares changed hands. Traded volumes, which had been on the descent during recent trading sessions, climbed to reach 1.2 million shares from a low of 35,100 recorded on Monday.

There were seven positive price changes.

British American Tobacco gained 451 cedis at 4,951 cedis, Enterprise Insurance Company was up 900 cedis at 9,901 cedis, Ghana Brewery Limited was richer 35 cedis at 1,460 cedis and Ghana Commercial Bank rose two cedis at 8,113 cedis.

Guinness Ghana Limited gained 46 cedis at 5,551 cedis, Home Finance Company gained one cedi at 3,651 cedis and the Trust Bank Limited (The Gambia) 350 cedis at 9,750 cedis.

Market capitalisation increased at 12,395.65 billion cedis from 12,331.93 billion cedis at the previous close on Monday.
