Computer Warehouse launches in Ghana

The Computer Warehouse Group, recently launched its first International office which it calls Computer Warehouse Group - CWG (Ghana) limited.?

The one-day event, which was accentuated by press interviews, breakout sessions and chats, featured a morning seminar titled “CWG: Encompassing Information Technology” at the impressive conference hall of the M Plaza Hotel after which the commissioning of the office premises at #126, Airport West Residential Area later took place.

According to the Group Corporate Affairs Manager of the company “the occasion witnessed an open display of our commitment to our vision of attaining a global player status in the ICT industry, as we savored the patronage of our customers, the support of our friends and well wishers and the envy of our competitors”.

She said the success of the event was due largely to days of thorough planning, and resilient spirit of the company evoked by the shared values for excellent services with its partners among whom are SUN Microsystems, Wi-LAN and the SOFTtribe.

For Popoola, “The seminar offered us the opportunity to showcase the company, its bouquet of products and partnerships as well as demonstrate our passion to deliver value added services to our customers using best industry practices in Ghana”.

Meanwhile, the Group Managing Director, Mr. Austin Okere, reportedly set a pace with the seminar, while Mr. Ben Neveling (Manager, Africa- Sun Microsystems) presented a speech on “Sun Vision and strategy” even as Mr. Anthony Mallet (Africa Manager, Wi-LAN) also did a corporate overview of his company whilst making a case for universal broadband mobility with a demo presentation at the end of the seminar.

Giving the over view of the event, Popoola said that one of the company’s Executive Director Mr. James Agada, traced the service delivery culture of CWG using several case studies.

Brian Ntekop (BDM, DCC) and Joe Jackson’s (CEO, the SOFTtribe) contributions followed a question and answer session anchored by Mr. Raji Oladipo whilst the vote of thanks by Mr. Phillip Obioha (Chief Operating Officer, CWG) and an open invitation for lunch marked major high points of the event.

She said that notable dignitaries at the occasion included Hon. Obetsebi Lamptey (Minister of Tourism & Modernization of the Capital); Alhaji Danjuma N. Sheni (Nigerian Ag. High Commissioner); Mr. Kwasi Abeasi (Ghana Investment Promotion Commission's, Chief Executive); Mr. Ken Bentsil-Enchil
