Hearts close to sealing sponsorship deal with Huawei

Ghanaian giants, Accra Hearts of Oak are close to sealing a sponsorship deal with Chinese multinational networking, telecommunications equipment and services company, Huawei Technologies Limited.

According to reports in the local media, the Phobians who have been without a shirt sponsor for the last three seasons expect to conclude negotiations on the deal before the end of the season.

Although, the Rainbow club have been without a sponsor they wore the logo of Strategic African Securities, a financial company owned by their majority shareholder Togbe Afede.

Footballghana.com sources indicate that Huawei has been impressed with the visibility and media hype surrounding the Phobians and are hoping to use it to leverage their brand.

Huawei Technologies currently also sponsors German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund, Mexico’s Liga MX side, Club América and South African Premier Soccer League team, Ajax Cape Town.
