Assess your lives and vote wisely - MP to Ghanaians

Ghanaians have been urged to critically assess their present situation before they decide on who to elect as president in the upcoming general elections in November.

Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh, who is affectionately called ‘Napo,’ bemoaned the severe economic hardships facing Ghanaians currently, accusing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration of mismanaging the country’s economy.

He was of the view that the electorate, who would critically assess their living conditions, would vote out Mahama-led NDC administration in the November polls.

Napo observed that the harsh economic conditions had affected people in various parts of the country, indicating that functionaries and supporters of the ruling political party were also struggling to make a living.

He stated that Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is competent to lead Ghana into prosperity and appealed to the electorate to vote massively for the NPP in this year’s elections.

According to him, the country would collapse if the NDC retains political power, stressing the need for the electorate to give the mandate to the NPP leader to save the country from destruction.

Kejetia

Touching on other pressing national issues, Napo stated that it was wrong for the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) to receive applications from people that want to own stores at the Kejetia Terminal, which is under construction.

According to him, the authorities at KMA had confirmed that it had received 21,000 applications for the Kejetia stores, adding that traders that were ejected from Kejetia should be considered first after the completion of the project.

Napo said that traders at Kumasi Central Market should be relocated to the remaining stores at Kejetia so that construction work at the ancient Kumasi Central Market could take place.

He warned that if the KMA ignores the affected traders at Kejetia in the allocation of stores, Kumasi would witness series of demonstrations that could halt the execution of the project.
