Parliament denies website has been hacked

Parliament of Ghana Parliament of Ghana

Ghana’s Parliament has dismissed reports that its website has been hacked.

Information went spiral on social media over the weekend that a website, www.ghanamps.gov.gh had been hacked into by some unknown Palestinians.

The website has the inscription, ‘Free Palestine, Free Islam, Death to Zionist’.

But a statement by the Director of Public Affairs Department of Parliament, Kate Addo stated that the supposed website which had been allegedly hacked into was not the official website of Parliament but was created by an unknown private individual.

“The website does not belong to Ghana’s Parliament. Our site is still intact. Anyone who wants information about Parliament should visit www.parliament.gh,”

She appealed to the public to disregard any rumor that the official website of Parliament had been hacked into.
