I never knelt down to apologize to Ningo Chiefs - Sam George

Sam George Sam George

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary nominee for the Ningo Prampram Constituency, Sam George has denied kneeling down to beg the Ningo Chief, Nene Atiapah over the supposed insults he allegedly hurled at the Chief.

A Daily Guide report captured an alleged remorseful Sam George kneeling down to beg after he together with a delegation visited the Chief to apologize for his action with two bottles of whisky and a ram.

But Sam George has described this as palpable lies targeted at destroying him.

He told host Fiifi Banson on Anopa Kasapa on Kasapa 102.5 FM that he could not fathom why the Daily Guide newspaper will for the past three weeks set him as agenda every Monday to market their paper.

According to him, the constituents have already endorsed him for the seat. Hence ,no acts of destruction will make him lose the MP bid.

He said even though it’s true he has recently knelt publicly over an issue; he claimed this is not in any way connected to the unfortunate issues he had with the Ningo Chief.

“Indeed, I apologized to him, and we trashed out the issue over there. It might even interest you to know that after solving our differences, Nene together with some other chiefs went outside the hall to pour libation and prayed that the gods of the land should help me succeed in all my endeavours. I have in my possession, copies of photos taken on the day, which occurred at the Nene Atiapah’s palace. The dress I wore that day was different from the one Daily Guide had on its front page. I wore a white #JM branded shirt and a brown trouser that day.

“Again the picture that has captured me kneeling down is not a photo shop. It’s real, but this was on a different occasion. If you’ll recall just after our primaries the party held that we do a reconciliation across the country because we needed unity ahead of the elections. It was in such party meeting that I knelt and apologized to Regional Executives and all others since I was the one that led that very campaign team that they took offence with. It is clear that there is somebody at the Daily Guide who will want to destroy me in this elections, but they won’t get anywhere with their agenda.”
