Disgruntled Physiotherapist of Accra Hearts of Oak, Dr. Jonathan Quartey has confirmed to GHANAsoccernet.com that unpaid salaries is one of the reasons behind their decision to suspend their services with the club for meantime.

News emerged this morning that the Physiotherapist and the team doctor have resigned from the positions at the club due to unpaid salaries.

Strategy Committee Chairman of the club, Vincent Sowah-Odotei vehemently denied that there are no issues of unpaid salaries to be resolved with the two but Jonathan Quartey says otherwise.

In an interview with GHANAsoccernet.com, Physiotherapist Dr. Jonathan Quartey said there are so many factors that had led to their decision including outstanding salaries.

“It’s not really about the monetary aspect. It has got to do with the ethics of the job more than the money,” he said.

“But I can’t rule out the monetary aspect too. It is also part of the reason for our decision,” he added.

“We have since decided to suspend our services due to the current happenings. We have not resigned neither have we been suspended by management.”

“We haven’t suspended our services basically because of the monies we are owed. Everyone knows about issues of money concerning Hearts of Oak. That one is no secret.”

“But for now, we have suspended our services because of so many factors including the unpaid salaries.”
