Andre Ayew to re-unite with Bielsa at Swansea

Black Stars vice-captain Andre Ayew is set to reunite with his former trainer Marcello Bielsa when the new Swansea head coach is announced.

The 60-year-old Argentine look set to replace the legendary Garry Monk after being presented with an 18-month contract at the Liberty Stadium.

The former Chile trainer remains the Welsh club's number one choice followed by Jorge Sao Paolo and Gustavo Poyet after mutually parting ways with Garry Monk two weeks ago.

Marcello Bielsa vacated his three-year deal at the Stade Velodrome amidst backroom interference.

Andre Ayew, 25, who enjoyed a spectacular season under the managerial guidance of Marcello Biesla in his last season in French football could be lacing his boots once again under the legendary Argentine trainer.

Series of media reports on Biesla heading to the Liberty Stadium was fueled by the arrival of club Chairman Huw Jenkins in Argentina on Tuesday night.

A reported 18 month stop gap contract has been tabled to the former Athletic Bilbao and Olympique Marseilles trainer.

The only difference, for now, seems to be financial differences between the two parties ahead of Bielsa’s return to managerial duties.

Swansea endured a torrid run of one win in eleven matches to end Garry Monk’s 12-year association with the club. Andre Ayew remains one of the shining stars in the camp of the Swans with 6 league goals in the opening 14 fixtures in the Premiership.

Marcello Bielsa made his name whiles with the Chile National side before storming European football with his aesthetically pleasing Athletic Bilbao side in 2011.
