All roads lead to the Ningo Prampram constituency in the Greater Accra region as veteran MP E.T Mensah battle it out with his protégé Sam George in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary primaries.

The internal poll was marred by chaos on Saturday following allegations of attacks by both camps, forcing the elections to be suspended.

An official statement from the ruling NDC said the primaries will come off today, Sunday, November 22 in the constituency after “successfully” completing voting in 256 other constituencies in Ghana.

The statement also said elections will also take place in 11 constituencies in the Ashanti region stronghold of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

The constituencies are Subin, Atwima Nwabiagya North, Manhyia South, Manhyia North and Asante Akyem North.

The rest are: Bosomtwe, New Edubiase, Agona, Tepa, Ejura and Ejisu.

Voting could not be held in these constituencies because of some missing names in the official voters’ register coupled with some disturbances.
