"NPP Will Fulfil Campaign Promises"

The Brong-Ahafo Regional Minister, Nana Seinti, said the government will fulfil its campaign promises before the end of its term in office.

He, however, called on the people to exercise restraint and rally behind the government in its search for solutions to the country’s economic problems.

The Regional Minister made the pronouncement when he inspected development projects in the Asutifi District as part of his familiarisation tour of the area.

He also used the visit to explain government policies and programmes and their impact on the people.

The Regional Minister was accompanied on the tour by the Asutifi District Chief Executive, Mr Nicolas Nsiah Adjapong, Mr Paul Okoh and Mrs Cecilia Gyan Amoah, MPs for Asutifi North and Asutifi South constituencies, respectively.

Some of the communities the minister visited are Wamahinso, Ntoros, Gambia and Biaso.

He said the NPP government is committed to raising the living standards of the rural people, which is why it is continuing with all viable development projects initiated by the NDC regime.

Nana Seinti emphasised that the government will not use development projects to entice the electorate to retain it in power in the 2004 general elections.

Nana Seinti, therefore, called on the rural dwellers to take advantage of the government’s initiative to expand their farms in order to justify the government’s effort to improve their living conditions .
